The TLDR…
The first time I learned to breathe and connect to my body was around the same time I hit puberty, thank goodness. During what I affectionately call “hippie school,” we sat in circles talking about feelings, meditated, and tried something called yoga. I’ll never forget the first time my little body moved rhythmically with breath to Sade’s Lovers Rock, with its indelible lyric, “you’re the one… I cling to in a storm.”
Who knew how true those words would become — that mindfulness and movement would later become my safe place, my refuge amidst crippling anxiety and debilitating digestive issues.
This lived experience informs the way I guide — with empathy, vulnerability and embodiment. For the past 15 years, I’ve been grateful to help nurture reconnection with mind, body and spirit through creativity and immersive experience.
By day, I serve as the Director of Global Wellbeing for one of the world’s most recognizable brands. By night, weekends, and whenever else, serving community. In terms of educational stuff, I’ve got a BS in Public Health from USC, an MBA from Kellogg at Northwestern and am a qualified Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) teacher via Brown University.
It’s a privilege to be of service, finding moments of ease together amidst life’s beautiful chaos.
